"Democracy must be learned by each generation in order for it to survive." This citizenship program is designed for high school students (9-12) interested in participating in different components of our government including legislative, judicial, State Affairs Forum, and print or broadcast media. Teens will gain confidence, leadership skills, and have a better understanding of how the government works. Please check out the TNY online or www.texasyag.org for more information.
Junior YG
This program is designed for middle school students to get a head start on writing a legisltive bill, debating bill topics and learning about the parlimentary procedure. They will be able to present their bill at mock legislative during the YG district conference at SMU. It's a great starting point for youth that are interested in Youth and Government as high school students.
