About the Lance Armstrong Foundation: At the Lance Armstrong Foundation, we fight for the 28 million people around the world living with cancer today. We give people the resources and support they need to fight cancer. We find innovative ways to raise awareness, fund research and end the stigma about cancer that many survivors face. We connect people and communities to drive social change, and we call for the help of state, national and world leaders.

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity. It offers everyone in the community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of 8-15 people camp out and take turns walking or running around the track. Becasue cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events, and each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times.
